Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior

I spent the most wonderful weekend at Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior in Two Harbors, and I can’t stop thinking about it. From the breathtaking views of Lake Superior to the incredible service, every detail made this stay so special. The cottages were spotless and fully stocked with everything you could need, and the on-site restaurant served up some delicious meals. Between time in the sauna and a relaxing massage, evenings by the fire pits and hammocks along the shoreline, and days filled with hiking, crafting, and simply soaking in nature, I left feeling refreshed and so grateful for the experience. I was blown away by it all and truly cannot wait to go back. If you’re looking for a cozy getaway on the North Shore, this is it.

We love our yearly trip to Larsmont! Having direct access to the shore of Lake Superior is a huge plus. We plan to continue our yearly visits, and would love to be able to afford to come more often.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the incredible service, delicious food, and overall atmosphere—they’re already talking about coming back to visit, and we couldn’t agree more! The perfect place for a north shore get away. Mostly for adults, which I like. The staff is exceptional in their service. Hospitality and kindness. I plan to keep coming back for more.

Our group of 3 had a wonderful 4-night stay at Larsmont Cottages! The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure that all of the details were taken care of at the resort. We particularly enjoyed the campfires by the lake, wood-fired sauna, and plunging into Lake Superior! The staff were very attentive to restocking firewood, towels at the pool, etc., so everything was constantly in order. Highly recommend and hope to return soon! We enjoyed several excellent meals at the on-site restaurant.

Amazing place. Our stay was both relaxing and peaceful. The staff was professional and pleasant. We will definitely be back. Next time for a longer stay.

Larsmont Cottages offers an incredible experience that’s perfect for both couples seeking a romantic getaway and families looking to reconnect. Set right on the shores of Lake Superior, the property boasts serene views of the water and the rugged beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly relax. The hotel staff are warm, welcoming, and go out of their way to make your stay special. A highlight for us was the wonderful team—especially the women who help set up bonfires and hand out s’mores kits. Their kindness made the evenings by the fire extra memorable. Our two-bedroom cottage was fantastic: spacious, clean, and just a quick 20-second stroll to the lake. Waking up to the sight and sound of the water so close was magical. Whether you’re enjoying coffee on your porch, exploring the shoreline, or sharing laughs by the fire, Larsmont delivers a sense of togetherness that’s hard to find. Honestly, I haven’t had this much family fun since the ’90s! It’s an A+ destination, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone visiting the North Shore. We can’t wait to return.
